Uses

The hardware, software and AI tools Sandip Mistry uses every day as a software engineer, and how this website is built.

The tools I use every day. I keep work and personal things on separate machines: nothing personal on the office laptop, and no office work on my own.

Computers

  • MacBook Pro 14" (M4 Pro): my personal machine.
  • Dell laptop: for office work.

Desk

  • Monitor: LG 32" 4K.
  • Keyboards: Logitech MX Mechanical Mini at home, Logitech K580 Slim Multi-Device at the office.
  • Mouse: Logitech MX Anywhere 3S.

Phone and tablet

  • iPhone 17, in black.
  • iPad Pro 11" (M4).

Software

  • Code editor: VS Code.
  • Browser: Google Chrome.
  • AI: Claude, most of the time. More on /ai.
  • At work: Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.

This site

  • Code: a small PHP site — no framework, no WordPress.
  • Font: JetBrains Mono, served from this site.
  • Colour: sky blue, #0369A1 on light and #38BDF8 on dark.
